Managed competitor monitoring for agencies and commercial teams
Every week, know what competitors changed—and what your team should consider next.
PulseWatch is a managed service.
We monitor agreed public pricing, offers and landing pages; a human reviews material changes and turns them into a concise brief with evidence, cautious context and a decision question.

Recognise this?
Competitor monitoring has become recurring manual work.
01
You recheck the same pages
Someone opens the same pricing and offer pages before every meeting or commercial decision.
02
Alerts stop at ‘changed’
The team still has to verify the evidence, reject noise and decide whether the change matters.
03
Important moves arrive late
A new price, promotion or message is noticed only after somebody else mentions it.
Two situations · one evidence standard
Choose the decision you want to prepare with better evidence.
01
For CRO and performance agencies
Reduce strategist rechecking and bring a verified signal plus the next test question into the client meeting.

What arrives each week
Not an alert feed. One brief ready for a conversation and decision.
Only human-approved signals enter the brief. Every signal shows the evidence, observed fact, cautious context, owner, decision question and known limitation.

Limit: a public page does not prove intent, impact or business outcome. This is a synthetic demonstration, not a client result.
What changes for your team
Less checking. Faster preparation. A clearer next question.
01
Less repetitive checking
The agreed pages are monitored between meetings, not reopened from scratch each time.
02
Faster preparation
The evidence and context are already assembled for the client or commercial conversation.
03
A decision-ready signal
The brief ends with a named owner and question—not a raw alert to interpret later.
How it works
Automation captures. A human reviews. Your team decides.

Straight answers about the service and its limits.
Is this another tool we have to configure?
No. PulseWatch is a managed service. We agree the sources and decision; your team receives the reviewed brief.
What if there is no material change?
We do not invent a signal to fill a report. The weekly brief can state that no material signal was approved.
Can we rely on complete detection?
No. Only pre-agreed public sources are monitored, with no promise of complete detection or business outcomes.
Do we need a call or meeting?
No. There is no video call, phone call or in-person meeting. Submit the form and we check the decision, feasible public sources and pilot scope. You receive the result and any next step in writing by email.

Every field must reduce decision uncertainty.
01
Source and time
Where and when the change was observed.
02
Before-and-after evidence
Preserved state that a reviewer can verify.
03
Fact and possible importance
Observation is separated from a cautious hypothesis.
04
Question, owner and limitation
The signal ends in a decision and states what cannot be concluded.
A real competitor example is published only after source-admissibility review.
Synthetic review demonstration
From raw change to a no-action decision.
Raw change: the detector recorded a new label beside a CTA.
Discarded noise: it was a rotating session label, a separate teaching demonstration—not an approved signal delivered to a client.
Confirmed fact: the agreed public URL has no offer change.
Hypothesis: there is no basis for a new commercial hypothesis.
Owner and question: the strategist reviews only the next material alert.
Outcome: no action; this is neither a measure nor evidence of causal business impact.
No action is a valid documented outcome when evidence does not change the decision.

Founder Kristijan Fažon has spent roughly 15 years making sales, pricing, offer and positioning decisions in his own physical print business.
PulseWatch packages that discipline into a bounded evidence service. It does not claim 15 years of formal CRO consulting, guaranteed growth or certainty about competitor intent. The buyer's strategist or commercial owner keeps the final decision.

A competitor price change is evidence, not an instruction
A practical framework for verifying a visible pricing change, separating fact from intent and deciding whether your team should test a response.
How to turn competitor pricing changes into a decision
Preserve the visible before-and-after state, URL and observation time before discussing meaning.
Check whether packaging, billing period, discount framing or eligibility changed with the number.
State interpretation as a hypothesis. A public page cannot prove margin, conversion or intent.
Name the owner and decision: dismiss, investigate, test or act. Record what happened so the signal can be evaluated later.
PulseWatch applies this framework to pre-agreed public sources. An observation is not an instruction to copy a competitor.

Monitor the decision surface, not the whole internet
Learn how to define a narrow watchlist, filter unstable page elements and advance only changes that could affect a real client or commercial decision.
Competitor landing-page monitoring without alert noise
Start with one question and a small set of offer, pricing, proof and CTA pages.
Exclude clocks, rotating stock, session elements and other known dynamic regions before comparing text.
Review materiality against the client's test backlog or the brand's commercial calendar.
Deliver a short evidence brief; keep raw diffs available for audit rather than forwarding them as strategy.
A bounded watchlist example
Synthetic teaching example, not a client result.
Decision question: should an agency address annual commitment in its next test hypothesis? The watchlist contains only three public pages from one competitor: pricing, offer landing page and billing FAQ. Each has a pre-agreed URL, allowed page areas, owner and materiality threshold.
Accept:
annual saving changed from 15% to 25% and the CTA from “Start trial” to “Book a demo”. Preserve before/after and send it to review.
Reject as noise:
a countdown, rotating testimonial, visitor count, personalised banner or cookie-banner change. These do not evidence an offer change.
Review before delivery
The reviewer checks the public URL and observation time, reads the preserved before/after evidence, and writes a fact without inferring intent. Only then can they label a hypothesis: annual commitment
may
receive more emphasis. The strategist receives a question, not an instruction to copy.
When “no action” is the correct outcome
If only layout moved, first check whether it affects the agreed question or the path to the CTA. Record “no action” and the reason only when there is no relevant change. Do not create a test just because the detector found a difference.
Source admissibility and limits
Include only pre-approved publicly accessible URLs. A login, CAPTCHA, private account, individualised content or changed access terms means stop and reassess the source. A public display does not prove intent, margin, traffic or business impact.

The difference is the work after detection
Compare what a page-change tool automates with the human review, evidence discipline and decision ownership provided by a managed service.
Managed competitor intelligence vs change-detection tools
A tool is appropriate when your team can configure sources, verify alerts and interpret every material change.
A managed service adds source scoping, human review, an explicit fact-versus-hypothesis boundary and a named next action.
Neither approach proves competitor intent or guarantees a business result.
Choose based on strategist time, review discipline and whether the output must be client-ready.

When a cheap tool is enough
Choose one when the URL list is small, an internal team can already verify alerts, and raw diffs will not reach a client or leadership without further work. A tool can be the sensible choice when you have review time and discipline.
When a managed service is warranted
It is warranted when a strategist cannot read every alert, when a brief must separate fact from hypothesis, and when the next question needs a named owner. The pilot is

When you need neither
If there is no decision or owner, define the task first: neither a tool subscription nor a service will define it for you. PulseWatch is not suitable for private sources, mass SKU repricing or guaranteed results. Specialist tools may cover different needs; they are not evaluated here.
Synthetic decision example
Not a client case.
A tool found a 15% → 25% annual-saving and CTA change. An internal strategist confirms the visible fact; managed review records a hypothesis without claiming intent, assigns a question to the strategist, and later records “discussed”. This is not evidence of causal business impact.

PulseWatch applies this framework to pre-agreed public sources. An observation is not an instruction to copy a competitor.
Next step
Choose one decision, one owner and the sources that could inform it. If the team cannot verify every alert, assess whether a managed pilot fits.

A useful brief makes uncertainty visible
Use a practical evidence-first template that records the source, observed fact, cautious interpretation, recommended action, owner, confidence and outcome.
Competitor change decision-brief template
Source and observation: URL, time, before state and after state.
Fact: describe only what a reviewer can verify from the preserved evidence.
Interpretation and action: label the hypothesis, name the next decision and assign an owner.
Confidence, limits and outcome: expose uncertainty and later record whether the signal was dismissed, discussed, tested or acted on.

Good and bad entry
Bad: ‘The competitor is cutting prices; we must respond.’ It gives no source, time or limit. Good, in this synthetic example: “At example.invalid/pricing on 1 September at 09:30 UTC, the visible annual saving is 25% rather than 15%. Annual commitment may receive more emphasis; impact is unknown. The demo strategist decides whether to propose a test hypothesis.”
